Eunice Jun is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at UCLA, where she directs the Computation & Discovery Lab. She conducts research on human-computer interaction and data science. Researchers, students, and data enthusiasts have benefited from and contributed to the statistical analysis tools developed by Eunice and her collaborators, including Tea and (r)Tisane.

Eunice’s research papers have received awards at premier venues in Human-Computer Interaction (ACM CHI, CSCW). Other honors include recognition from the Barry Goldwater Foundation for STEM research (2015), the Wilma Bradley Fellowship (2016), and a NSF GRFP (2018).

Eunice holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Washington, where she was part of the Interactive Data Lab and UW PLSE Group. She also holds B.S. degrees in cognitive science and computer science from Vanderbilt University, where she was part of the Ingram Scholarship Program for community engagement and leadership. Before all this, Eunice was a Russian ballet dancer.
